What is fencing?

Fencing is an Olympic sport where two people face off with swords in hand, in a contest of athletics and psychology. Fencing is a safe and intense sport that trains both your body and mind. With clubs across the world learning fencing is an opportunity to join a community of passionate participants.

Fencing in the Yukon

Yukon Fencing started from the shared passion of two Yukon fencing coaches looking to build a new fencing community in Whitehorse. In a short period of time, Yukon Fencing has grown to be a positive, inclusive, and safe sport for Yukoners of all ages. Each year we have grown and its a great time to get involved!

Our goal is to grow our community and provide all the resources necessary for members to pursue their goals whether that is to have fun, get fit, or qualify for varsity teams or even the national team.
