Kids Learn to Fence

Ages 9 – 13: This course introduces students to the fundamentals of fencing. Starting with basic introduction to movement, introduction to foil fencing, rules of fencing, and cumulating with an introduction to electrically scored
fencing bouts.

Adult Beginner / Adult Fencer

Ages 18 - 100: This course is intended to teach the basics of fencing to adults or provide a refresher to anyone who hasn’t fenced in years. This course provides all skills necessary to participate in open fencing sessions and competitions. 

Adult fencers planning to fence during various open fencing timeslots are welcome to hone their skills at the class or fence each other concurrently to the class.

Intermediate

Ages 12 - 17:  This course continues from where learn to fence ends. This course focuses on fencing skills and fitness for fencing bouts. There is an emphasis on practice bouts with other students in this course. This class includes one-on-one lessons from the coaches.

*Includes registration with Canadian Fencing Federation and BC Fencing association - required for competitions
