Yukon Fencing is hosting the 2025 Grey Mountain cup fencing tournament on November 15h at Selkirk Elementary School! This for-fun community tournament is a non-competitive and learning-oriented event. There are 2 events: youth foil and team foil (all-ages and skill levels).
The youth foil event is for fencers registered in the beginner or intermediate classes. This event will teach all fencers how to fence in a tournament, including all rules and tournament procedures. After fencing in this event the fencers will have all the experience necessary to compete in any fencing tournament in Canada. This is a low pressure and for-fun fencing event.
The team foil is open to members of all classes. Team fencing is an event where three-person teams face off and each person fences the other members of the opposing team with a cumulative score. This is a very fun type of fencing that allows for encouragement and team-based mentorship. Teams will be selected by the organizers to balance the levels of experience and make all teams competitive.
Both events are open to all genders. Youth foil fencers are encouraged to fencing in the team event for the opportunity to get more experience and an opportunity for mentorship and encouragement from other team members.
Registration is $30 per event, pay here or with cash or credit card at the event. Deadline to register is November 14th at 12PM.
Fencers need to arrive 30 minutes before the event to get warmed up and to put on equipment
